Professional Career
Dr. Theocharis served as Consultant and Director of the Dermatology Clinic at the 251 Hellenic Air Force General Hospital until 2006, retiring from the Air Force with the rank of Wing Commander Medical Officer. In 1994, he began his private medical practice, which evolved into the founding of the medical clinics Skin and Hair Medical Care (2008) and Lasermedical SA (2011), both of which he continues to direct to this day.

Specialization and Contribution to Medicine
Dr. Theocharis is considered one of the pioneers of Dermatologic Surgery in Greece and has extensive experience and specialization in areas such as the use of lasers, aesthetic dermatology, dermatoscopy, and modern skin treatments. Furthermore, he has developed innovative techniques in hair transplantation and the use of dermal implants and botulinum toxin. As part of his ongoing contribution to science and education, he participates as an instructor in numerous dermatology workshops, transferring his knowledge and experience to new and existing dermatologists, contributing to their scientific and professional development.

Participation in National and International Scientific Events
Dr. Theocharis has taken part in numerous national and international conferences and workshops, serving as a speaker, conference chair, course coordinator, and instructor. His significant scientific work includes publications in reputable scientific medical journals.

Scientific Societies and Leadership Involvement
Dr. Theocharis is President of the Hellenic Society of Dermatology and Venereology for the period 2025-2028. He was first elected to the Board of Directors of HSDV as a board member in 2022 and served for three years as head of the committee for the protection of dermatologists’ professional interests (EPES).

He is also distinguished for his active participation and leadership contribution in the Hellenic Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Laser and Aesthetic Dermatology (HSDS). Starting as General Secretary (2020), he was then elected Vice President of the Board (2021) and finally assumed the position of President of the Society, a position he holds to this day (2022-2025). This long-term role highlights his commitment to advancing dermatologic surgery and aesthetic dermatology in Greece.

Finally, he is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) for over 20 years, as well as a regular member of the American Academy of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), the International Dermoscopy Society (IDS), and other leading international scientific communities
