Skin Tightening Treatment with HIFU
What is HIFU?

The Ultraformer III is an innovative, non-invasive ultrasound system based on Macro and Micro Focused Ultrasound (MMFU) technology.

The specialized Macro-Focused Ultrasound cartridges, designed for higher intensity and deeper penetration, target the subcutaneous layers of the body at three different depths, aiming to contour the silhouette and reduce localized fat deposits.

Everything You Need to Know

What is the HIFU treatment intended for?

The Ultraformer III uniformly distributes ultrasound energy across multiple different layers within the skin and subcutaneous fat, resulting in:

  • Formation of a denser collagen structure
  • Tissue tightening
  • Reduction of adipocyte (fat cell) volume in body areas with excess fat.

    HIFU Treatment Areas

The HIFU treatment can be applied to the following areas:

    • Décolleté
    • Arms
    • Abdomen – Flanks
    • Thighs
    • Buttocks
    • Knees

    HIFU Procedure

HIFU technology delivers high-intensity focused ultrasound energy to different layers of the skin and body tissues without affecting the surrounding areas. By delivering stable temperatures between 65°C and 75°C to the targeted treatment zones, the ULTRAFORMER III induces neocollagenesis in the face, while tightening the body tissues and sculpting the silhouette.

The device operates with 6.0 mm, 9.0 mm, and 13 mm transducers. The entire procedure lasts approximately 60 minutes or less, depending on the treated areas.

HIFU in Combination with Other Treatments

When HIFU precedes any other treatment, it can be performed within a few days of the other procedures. However, if HIFU follows injectable treatments, the recommended intervals are:

  • 3 to 6 months after hyaluronic acid injections
  • 6 months after thread lifting procedures
  • 6
Possible Side Effects of HIFU Treatment

    The following may be observed:

    • Swelling
    • Redness
    • Bruising
    • Numbness in the treated area

All of the above are rare occurrences. Any discomfort experienced after the treatment typically subsides relatively quickly.
